Local Burlington Photographer Joins International Non-Profit Council
Certified Professional Photographer, Randy Brogen of Burlington, MA was elected by his peers in the Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts (PPAM) to join the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Council for 2012 – 2015. A non-profit, international association with 25,000 members, PPA is ultimately governed by its members through such council representatives. Councilors in tandem with PPA assist members achieve their professional, artistic and fraternal goals; promote public awareness of the profession; and advance the making of images in all of its disciplines as an art, a science and a visual recorder of history.
PPA Councilors are professional photographers who volunteer their time and service to guide and act as the voice for their state's PPA members. Duties include discussing and voting on changes to Bylaws and Adopted Procedures, as well as the leadership of the overall association (via election of Board Members and the Nominating Committee). They also play a crucial role in sharing the PPA message to existing, new and prospective PPA members.
