AAA Acquires Two Driving Schools In Massachusetts

AAA Southern New England is pleased to announce a major expansion of its driver education program in Massachusetts, with the acquisition of Bay State Driving School of Burlington and Watertown.

It will operate as AAA Bay State Driving School, and classes will be conducted at several area high schools in addition to the two main locations. Bay State Driving School had been a fixture in the area for the past 10 years.

Instructors and staff from Bay State are remaining with AAA.

“AAA members have been asking about the availability of AAA driver education in areas west of Boston, and we are pleased to continue the program Bay State started, using AAA resources for in-car and classroom training,” said David Raposa, AAA Southern New England director of public affairs.

AAA Driver Training operates in several parts of Massachusetts, with additional offices in South Attleboro, Fall River, Rockland, Plymouth, South Dennis and North Andover.

AAA Bay State Driving School, 85 Main St., Watertown, can be reached at 617-393-1700. The Burlington location, at 324 Cambridge St., can be reached at 781-750-3200.

AAA’s driver training program in Massachusetts offers 30 hours of classroom instruction, 12 hours behind the wheel, six hours of in-car observation time and a two-hour parent/guardian class attended by at least one parent.
